Gonadotropin (Releasing the hormone) also called as the GNRH is the recent medical treatment if surgery or contraception becomes unsuccessful. It can be either given through nasal spray, injection, or through an implant that is replaced every twenty eight days. As GNRH suppresses estrogen, there are side effects like vaginal dryness, hot flashes, and the irregular vaginal bleeding. The GNRH treatment can only be given for a period of six months as the risk of the bone loss is connected with low estrogen.
